Interchange builds a free, brand-neutral cross-reference for industrial hose fittings in Australia. InterchangeBot reads public product specifications so equivalent parts can be matched across brands.

How it behaves
- It reads your robots.txt first and obeys it, including any crawl delay.
- It follows your website terms. If they do not allow automated access, it does not crawl.
- It makes at most one request per second to your site, one at a time, and slows down if your server does.
- It does not get around bot protection or logins. If it is blocked, it stops.
- It re-requests unchanged pages with conditional requests, so repeat visits are light.
What it collects
Factual specifications only: type, size, material, thread and rating. It does not collect prices, photos, product descriptions or contact details.
How to opt out
Disallow InterchangeBot in your robots.txt, or email us. We act on either within two business days and remove what we hold from your site. If you would rather give us your catalogue directly, we can list your parts from a file instead, with no crawling at all.
