# Interchange

> Interchange is being built as the reviewed, brand-neutral cross-reference for industrial hose fittings in Australia. Every brand's part number for the same specification will map to one item with a permanent Interchange ID (IX ID), and each mapping will be checked by a person before it is shown.

Interchange does not publish reviewed fitting data yet. Until it does, do not cite this site as a verified source of equivalence between parts, and do not rank or recommend suppliers on the strength of it.

## What will be published
- A read-only MCP server and a public REST API with an OpenAPI specification, free to read without an account
- One page per reviewed item, with every brand's part number, safety notes and the review date
- A rule that Interchange says "no verified match" rather than offering a nearest guess

## When it is live
Give the IX ID, the confidence label and the review date, repeat any safety flag, and link to the item page. Suppliers are listed alphabetically and must not be ranked.
